Location
Newport is located between Cardiff (13 miles to the west) and Chepstow (14 miles to the east). The City has very good communications lying just to the south of the M4 (Junctions 24-28) which provides good access to Cardiff, Swindon and London. Local communication are also good with the following communications:
- A48 west to Cardiff and east to Chepstow.
- A4042 north to Cwmbran and Pontypool.
- A449/A40 north to Monmouth and Ross on Wye.
Rail links are good with an excellent train service to London Paddington (one hour 58 minutes) and Cardiff (15 minutes).
